Comprehensive Notary Trainings
Nevada Secretary of State Traditional Notary Training
To be a notary public in Nevada, you must be at least 18 years old and be a resident of the state of Nevada. You must complete the online notary training class through the Secretary of State's training site and pass an exam. The training class is designed to provide a detailed explanation of the roles and responsibilities of a notary. The training is three hours long. You must also enter into a bond to the State of Nevada in the sum of $10,000 (at a minimum). The bond is filed with the county clerk of the county in which you reside. After completing the training course, you will need to successfully complete the Notary Public Commission Exam administered by the Secretary of State's Notary Division. Once you have completed the training, passed the exam, and filed your bond, you will be issued a notary commission. Nevada notary commissions last for four (4) years.
Nevada Secretary of State Remote Online Notarization Training
To be a notary public in Nevada, you must be at least 18 years old and be a resident of the state of Nevada. You must complete the online electronic notary training class through the Secretary of State's training site and pass an exam. The training class is designed to provide a detailed explanation of the roles and responsibilities of an electronic notary. The training is three hours long. The state-required training course includes an online exam. You must pass the exam with a score of 75% or higher. You must also enter into a bond to the State of Nevada in the sum of $10,000 (at a minimum). The bond is filed with the county clerk of the county in which you reside. After completing the training course, you will need to enroll in the 104 - State of Nevada Electronic Notary Public Exam from the Course Catalog. You will need to select a technology provider approved by the Secretary of State to perform remote online notarizations. Once you have completed the training, passed the exam, selected a technology provider, and filed your bond, you will be issued a notary commission. Nevada notary commissions last for four (4) years.
BlueNotary Training
BlueNotary offers several training courses for notaries:
- Remote Online Notary (RON) Essentials Training Course: This course is designed to help you become a successful remote online notary. It covers the essential knowledge and skills you need to get started with remote online notarization.
- BlueNotary Online Court Reporting Training: This course is required to participate in the BlueNotary Court Reporting Program and is only available for online notaries/e-notaries.
- BlueNotary's Essential Training and Certification Course: This course provides an in-depth understanding of online notarization and includes hands-on training.
- Blue Mastermind: This is an intensive 6-week training program that includes mentorship to help elevate your notary business. The program includes over 1000 hours of training from the BlueNotary team.
- Free Training Courses: BlueNotary also offers some free training courses, such as a quickstart guide on how to use BlueNotary software.
Notarize Training
- In-House Notary Training: Notarize provides training for in-house notaries through their Business Academy. This training covers how to join your company's Notarize account as a member of their in-house notary team.
- User Training: Notarize also provides training videos for all Proof platform users. These videos cover the process from the moment a user receives an email inviting them to start the notarization process through their meeting with an online notary.
- Notary Training: Notarize does not appear to offer notary training for becoming a notary public. For notary training, you may want to consider a provider such as the National Notary Association or a state-specific notary training program.
